I’ve had this palette since Sephora’s VIB Spring Sale.  I wanted to try it because of the hype but was very unsure about spending the money on it.  The gal at Sephora told me if I didn’t like it, I could return it, so with my discount I got it for $85 CAD.  I guess you have realized that I haven’t returned it!

When I first started using it, I didn’t think it was all that special and I did consider returning it, but after playing with the colours for a few days it easily became one of my favourites!  The colours are very pigmented and they blend beautifully.  I usually like a little bit of sparkle in my eyeshadow, but with this palette, I don’t miss it.  The matte colours give rich colour and that white is perfect!

There are a couple of cooler colours in this mostly warm palette so I find it has quite a bit of versatility.  When I saw the orange colour, I thought that I would never use it, but surprisingly I add it to a lot of my looks.  The nice thing  about these shadows is they don’t fade, they hold their colour right through to the end of the day and still looks as though I had just applied them.  So I guess the question is,  “Are they worth the money?” I’d have to say yes!  Once I figured out some colour combinations, I was thrilled with this matte palette.  I would buy another in a heartbeat, but only during another Sephora VIB sale!

I saw this at Walmart and snapped it up so quickly, I’m sure there was an audible swish in the air!  I had been wanting this for awhile and at $7.97 CAD, it was a perfect price!  This is a ten shadow all matte palette and a bit on the warmer side of the matte shadows that I already have in my collection.

The palette is sleek and although in a plastic case, it feels sturdy as well.  There is also a mirror included.  The shadows themselves are extremely smooth and buttery and very easily blended.  I wore it one day without a primer and it creased on me, but it lasted perfectly and beautifully all day long when I used a primer.

There are three browns in the palette that are very similar in tone when applied to the skin and on the eyes, there is not enough difference to be noticible.  It would have been nice to change out one of those browns with another colour.  Really though, that would be my only complaint with this palette. The price is excellent and the shadows are beautiful.  If you love matte shadows, this palette is a must have for you!
