I picked this product up at Shoppers Drug Mart for $5.99 CAD.  It was a new product I wanted to try and the price was excellent!  I bought the colour 05 Fair.

I felt that the colours were a bit off.  I thought that this colour was too light for me and on the yellow side and the next colour up was just too dark.  Once I tried it though, it was just fine.  I really like this powder and it’s a good product,  but there is nothing really outstanding or spectacular about it.  I had a particularly hard time opening it up as I didn’t realize that it is a twist off lid, I was yanking on that lid for several minutes!  The reservoir for the powder is a nice depth and my powder brush fits in without spilling product over the sides.  If you are curious and want to try this finishing powder, I’d wait for a sale and not pay full price.

Shoppers Drug Mart had many Mabelline products on for $5.99 CAD so I picked up a few items I have never tried before.  I had actually never heard of this foundation and was excited that this could actually be something that would help with my oily skin!  The photograph on the left is showing the product more orange than it really is.

This stick Foundation glides on smoothly and easily, I’ve been using a beauty sponge to blend and it works quite nicely.  I feel it gives light to medium coverage, but I have no problem going over some spots a second time and it covers satisfactorily.  The lighter middle apparently is cream to powder and it does feel like a powdery finish once it is on.  I do set it with a powder anyways.  It wears very nicely and my skin is actually less oily throughout the day.  The colour Classic Ivory is perfect on my summer skin, it is so perfect in fact, I can barely see where I’ve applied it!  I really love this foundation and I’m so glad that I bought it!

You know when you get that spoiler alert e-mail that tells you what you’ve received in your Topbox?  Well I always read it and get excited about what I’m receiving.  Turns out that this month, I didn’t get what they said I would!

In the end it really didn’t matter so very much because I got a bottle of nail polish instead of a lip and cheek product and I love nail polish but I do wish I got that eyeshadow!

The body wash smells good, so I’m sure I will like it.  The China Glaze nail polish is in the colour Rock N’ Royal.

The lip crayon from Be a Bombshell is nice, but the colour isn’t quite right for me (I bet I would have been able to use the eyeshadow).  The cleanser will be interesting, I have never tried one like it before.  Not too terribly exciting for me this month, I’ll use everything except the lip crayon so not a total loss!  Top box has been spoiling us the past few months with putting in an extra item, not getting one this month will really make me appreciate when we do get a little something extra!  I’m not sure what happened with the e-mail description of what I would get, they may have run out of some items, who knows?

I’ve had this palette since Sephora’s VIB Spring Sale.  I wanted to try it because of the hype but was very unsure about spending the money on it.  The gal at Sephora told me if I didn’t like it, I could return it, so with my discount I got it for $85 CAD.  I guess you have realized that I haven’t returned it!

When I first started using it, I didn’t think it was all that special and I did consider returning it, but after playing with the colours for a few days it easily became one of my favourites!  The colours are very pigmented and they blend beautifully.  I usually like a little bit of sparkle in my eyeshadow, but with this palette, I don’t miss it.  The matte colours give rich colour and that white is perfect!

There are a couple of cooler colours in this mostly warm palette so I find it has quite a bit of versatility.  When I saw the orange colour, I thought that I would never use it, but surprisingly I add it to a lot of my looks.  The nice thing  about these shadows is they don’t fade, they hold their colour right through to the end of the day and still looks as though I had just applied them.  So I guess the question is,  “Are they worth the money?” I’d have to say yes!  Once I figured out some colour combinations, I was thrilled with this matte palette.  I would buy another in a heartbeat, but only during another Sephora VIB sale!

I couldn’t walk away, this colour was so pretty I had to pick up Fresh Peach for $16 CAD.  I really enjoy a good lip gloss and this one is a good one!

Fresh Peach is has a lovely shimmer which just looks lovely on the lips.  It applies smoothly and is not sticky, I kept rubbing my lips together the first time I wore it because the slip to it was so nice.  Surprisingly, this lip gloss stayed on very well, even after eating there was residual gloss and colour left.  The applicator is an hourglass shape, and is very easy to use, I think this could be one of my favourite shaped applicators as it hugs your lips during application.  I’m happy to have found this gloss, it’s nice to use and oh so pretty too!

Have you ever walked by something then suddenly took a few steps backwards to see what it was?  That was me with this product!  This was new to me and I had heard nothing about it.  I picked up the colour 105 Gel-Ful for about $8 CAD.  My first thought was how similar it looked to Too Faced Melted Lipsticks.

The squeeze tube brings the lipstick up through the sponge tip applicator.  It is a bit stiff, but it applied the lipstick quite nicely.  I needed two coats for full opacity.  The website suggests you blot after application, but if you don’t put too much on, there is really no need to.

This is not a long wearing product, but it did manage hold some colour through a coffee and later some lunch.  Touch ups are easy and does not build up or flake.  There was a handful of odd colours to choose from ranging from brown to blue, bright purples and some reds.  This one was the only one I would consider nude and it leans more on the warm peach side.  This colour is also quite different from the colour of the tube which looks a little more pink mauve.  It’s a nice lipstick, it’s comfortable and it wears well, you can’t ask for more than that!

After several attempts to get my hands on this mascara, Shoppers Drug Mart finally had some in stock.  I picked it up for $4.99 CAD.  I had heard that this mascara had some great reviews and I wanted to try it myself.

I was quite impressed right off the bat!  It applied easily without clumping and my lashes looked pretty darned good.  Another coat and my lashes were longer than they had looked in a very long time.  I was instantly sold!  The mascara wore very nicely and stayed on without smudging for the entire day.  I had a few very tiny specks of flaking, almost not worth mentioning.  I tried it with a primer and no more tiny specks!  I had a slight problem taking the mascara off.  It wanted to stay on, I used several methods over time, eye makeup remover and micellar water included, I would think that I got it all off, but woke each morning with black smudges underneath my eyes.  This mascara was on for the long haul.  If you don’t mind a little work with removal, this mascara is an inexpensive long wearing, quality product!
